This morning, I went to work at 8am. We have an event in an elementary school with the policy academy, where the police would teach the students about road safety (even though there are no safety on the street, just the matter of not dying). Therefore, we took a Tuk Tuk to an elementary school. While we were in the Tuk Tuk, Piseth asked me to take pictures of the event!
I love my Tuk Tuk and the Tuk Tuk driver! :) He is very nice and sweet! :) He helped us to load the stuff in the Tuk Tuk and helped us unload it. He even put the banner on the school wall!
As soon as we arrived to the school. There were NO students!! What the heck? Where did they go? Phone calls were made and event was confirmed 2 days before and the day before the event. Hahahaha!! I told Sophal what and happened. Turned out that the forth Thursday of the month, students usually does not have school due to teacher meeting.
We went back to the office, grabbed other stuff for Friday's event for celebration of helmet use and went to the other elementary school. This is the school that we went to. It is very close and the condition was much better than first one I went to. I saw students were helping to clean the school, sweeping, mopping... very hard working! I was amazed!!
I never have to clean the school. But I feel like, no matter how much they clean, their water is still very dirty! I wish I can have a way to change that!
While we were on the red light, there was a little child carrying a little bouquet of flowers called "Champa" and standing next to me. He was dirty, dark, with an eye of an angel. My co-director, Piseth, asked how much it was and gave it to me. It smells so darling! I told my co-director that "I hope your wife is not upset about it." He just laughed.. hahahahahaha....
I told Ammon that someone gave me flowers... and he had no response.... ERRRR!!!!On the way back to the office, I went into the bakery called ABC Bakery. Cambodian bread is one of the influences from the French, when the French colonized the country. But it looks very similar to what we see in HK!
