School Based Program (SBP)

Asia Injury Prevention had a privilege to have a representative of  Chevron to come over for this school event! It was a lot of set up that needed to be done and a lot of education to the students.
Chevron was super nice that that they got students some crackers and juice. Students would eat it as they listen to the speakers and throw the trash in everywhere....

FYI, Sopahl knew everything that I have posted.... Thanks to my wonderful co-worker! :) But he is so awesome! He knows where to get the good stuff to eat! :) I want to say a big thank you to Sophal! :)

These are the events that we did, education about road safety, and correct way to wear a helmet, sponsored by Chevron! Thank you Chevron for helping millions of lives in Cambodia!

The Students!

The students have lots of energy to play around the playground.  Looking at them makes me tired.  I feel old already! :)
The first picture, these two girls saw me taking pictures, so they posted and asked me to take it.
The second picture is a popular game in both elementary school and high school students. It represents husband and wife, maybe that's not true. :)
The third picture is a rubber band robe. The goal of the game is jump across the rope without touching any rubber band. It seems really fun!

This is the classroom.  Condition is much better than the first school that we went to.  It has better desks and chairs, fan, and lights.  I can tell the students who go to this school are richer too, in the event that we had, many students pulled out their iPhones, Galaxy S3, etc, to take pictures. Their backpacks qualities are much better, at least they are not broken.

I have to give a special thanks to this guy!
I want to thank him because he drew all of the road safety pictures on the school walls, and they are LOVELY!! Even though he could not speak or express himself well, he can understands 100% of what Cambodian say.  I can communicate with him by using body language, much more than other people in Cambodia.  I understands 100% of what he is trying to say. :)

Here are some of his work!
