Today, I had a privilege to drive a tuk tuk around with passengers in it! All is well, everyone was safe! It is a lot of fun and stress driving this giant! But through tuk tuk, we were able to go to lots of places today!!
We went to The Asia Institute of Science, AIS. This institute helps people who graduated from high schools and get a nursing degree, or midwife degree; it is a 3 years program, they learn all the skills in here and can work anywhere they want later. This is a private institute, but I think it helps a lot of people in Cambodia, it is awesome!
We also went to National Center for Health Promotion. This is a government funded. It was interested to see what projects that they are working on. One of which is tobacco and alcohol use; currently they are still working on enforcing the law and health promotion around the country. They are facing the same challenges that AIPF is facing as well, that is enforcing the law and making the law. BYU hopes that in the future we can bring interns here in these two places. It was good to understand more organizations of what they do and what works and what doesn't.
